Photographic Missions on the contemporary landscape<\/h2>\n

With a view to documenting the contemporary Qu\u00e9bec landscape, Rencontres is partnering, thanks to the support of\u00a0Loto-Qu\u00e9bec<\/a>, with regional creation and dissemination organizations as part of its Photographic Missions.<\/p>\n

The goal of these missions, which invite artists to take a good look at the state of the Qu\u00e9bec landscape, is to present critical perspectives, to provoke reflection or to generate utopias.<\/p>\n

To that end, a call has gone out to professional artists residing in Qu\u00e9bec to submit a project proposal. The selection will then be made by a committee of peers made up of artists and stakeholders in the field of contemporary Qu\u00e9bec photography.<\/p>\n

The Photographic Missions will cover, between now and 2024, the entirety of the Qu\u00e9bec landscape. Rencontres also hopes that they will serve as a provincial archival collection.<\/p>\n

PHOTOGRAPHIC MISSION IN SAGUENAY\u2013LAC-SAINT-JEAN IN 2022-2023<\/h4><\/div>
Centre SAGAMIE, Rencontres de la photographie en Gasp\u00e9sie and Loto-Qu\u00e9bec announced, in June 2022, the selection of Jos\u00e9e Pedneault (Montr\u00e9al, Qu\u00e9bec) to carry out a photo assignment in the Saguenay\u2013Lac-Saint-Jean region in 2022-2023. The results of that research will later be presented at Centre SAGAMIE, located in Alma, in 2023, and at Rencontres de la photographie en Gasp\u00e9sie, in 2024.<\/div><\/div>
