Rencontres de la photographie en Gasp\u00e9sie is pleased to announce the return of Rencontres on Tour to the heart of its 12th edition. This one-of-a-kind event, which runs from September 3 to 5, 2021, will bring together visitors, artists and the local population for public get-togethers on the subject of creation: open-air screenings, discussions with the artists, guided visits to exhibitions, and more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
IN CARLETON-SUR-MER ON SEPTEMBER 3, 2021<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The launch of Rencontres on Tour will take place on Friday, September 3, at 4:30 p.m. in the hall of Quai des arts in Carleton-sur-Mer. That will be followed by a visit to the exhibition L\u2019espace du livre 2021<\/u><\/a><\/em> at the Gabrielle-Bernard-Dub\u00e9 library and the closing of the exhibit Documentary Adrift<\/u><\/a> <\/em>by Nayla Dabaji (Montreal, Qu\u00e9bec), in the presence of the artist, at the Vaste et Vague artist center.<\/p>\n\n\n\n After this, beginning at 8\u00a0p.m., there will be a screening of the work of the Toronto artist Dave Heath (1931-2016), who’s exhibition A Dialogue with Solitude<\/u><\/a><\/em> is presented in Carleton-sur-Mer; Samuel Graveline (Montreal, Qu\u00e9bec), in the presence of the artist, who will be exhibiting The Sweet Ends<\/u><\/a><\/em> in Matapedia; and Yves Arcand (Matane, Qu\u00e9bec), also in the presence of the artist, who is exhibiting Traces<\/u><\/a><\/em> at the Battle of the Restigouche National Historic Site in Pointe-\u00e0-la-Croix. The film Terrestres<\/em> (Earthbound<\/em>), by Normand Rajotte, will additionally be screened in the presence of the artist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n IN CARLETON-SUR-MER AND PASP\u00c9BIAC ON SEPTEMBER 4, 2021<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n On Saturday, September 4, at 9:30 a.m. the public will be invited to drop by Parc des Horizons (municipal beach) in Carleton-sur-Mer for the unveiling of R\u00e9sonances atemporelles<\/a><\/em> (Resonance Outside of Time), a work in augmented reality complementary to the permanent mural Tragadigash<\/em>, by Patrick Dionne and Miki Gingras (Montreal, Qu\u00e9bec), in the presence of the artists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n At 4:30 p.m., the public is invited to the boardwalk (3e<\/sup> Rue) in Pasp\u00e9biac for a visit of the exhibition Time\u2019s out | Temps fluide<\/u><\/a><\/em> by Marie-Claude Gendron (Montreal, Qu\u00e9bec), in the presence of the artist. At 5:00 p.m. at the Pasp\u00e9biac Cultural Center, there will be a visit of the video installation by Leila Zelli (Montreal, Qu\u00e9bec), Why Should I Stop?<\/u><\/a><\/em> Following this, the public will get to see screenings of the work of Marie-Claude Gendron; Claudine Doury (France), who is exhibiting Amur<\/u><\/a> <\/em>in Maria; Chlo\u00e9 Beaulac (Longueuil, Qu\u00e9bec), who is exhibiting The places that inhabit us<\/u><\/a><\/em> in New Richmond; Valeria Luongo (Italy\/Great Britain), who is exhibiting A Sisterhood<\/u><\/a><\/em> (a community of nuns) in Bonaventure; and Maude Arsenault (Montreal, Qu\u00e9bec), who is exhibiting Fabric of self: folded and folded again, 2021<\/u><\/a> <\/em>in Perc\u00e9. At 8:00 p.m. the public is invited to an evening of projections plus a musical presentation. On view will be the work of Nele Van Canneyt; Bertrand Carri\u00e8re (Longueuil, Qu\u00e9bec), who is presenting Sound Mirrors<\/u><\/a><\/em> in Petite-Vall\u00e9e; Renaud Philippe (Qu\u00e9bec City, Qu\u00e9bec), who is exhibiting Isolation<\/u><\/a><\/em> <\/em>in Chandler; and Sven (Montreal, Qu\u00e9bec), who is presenting Plongeons<\/u><\/a><\/em> <\/em>in Gasp\u00e9, to the sound of a musical performance by Spacey Koala (Fran\u00e7ois Clavet).
