Only one week remains to see the exhibits and installations offered in the framework of the 4th edition of Rencontres internationales de la photographie en Gasp\u00e9sie. On the theme \u201cThe nature of man: crafting the real,\u2019\u2019<\/b> these are the results of the work of some thirty photographers from the Gasp\u00e9, from elsewhere in Qu\u00e9bec and from various countries, and are on display until September 15 in the 15 host municipalities.<\/b><\/p>\n

Haute-Gasp\u00e9sie<\/b> \/\/ Cap-Chat<\/b> welcomes At My Last Meal<\/i>, by Sandra Lachance<\/b><\/a> (Montreal, Qu\u00e9bec), at the rest area. In Marsoui<\/b>, Michael Wolf<\/b><\/a> (Hong Kong, China) exhibits his Tokyo Compression<\/i> project in the Couturier building, while S\u00e9bastien\u00a0Michaud<\/b><\/a> (Montreal, Qu\u00e9bec) presents Domaine de la Florida<\/i> at A.-Couturier park. Lastly, a building in Sainte-Madeleine-de-la-Rivi\u00e8re-Madeleine<\/b> displays a giant work from the project Murdochville: The Beauty of Destruction<\/i> by Louis Couturier<\/b> and Jacky\u00a0Georges\u00a0Lafargue<\/b><\/a> (Carleton-sur-Mer, the Gasp\u00e9).<\/p>\n

C\u00f4te-de-Gasp\u00e9<\/b> <\/b>\/\/ In Grande-Vall\u00e9e<\/b>, on the promenade towards the Galipeault covered bridge, Yves Beaulieu<\/b><\/a> (Montr\u00e9al, Qu\u00e9bec) presents Quiproquo<\/i>. In Gasp\u00e9<\/b>, Alain Paiement<\/b><\/a> (Montreal, Qu\u00e9bec) offers From a Different <\/i>Angle<\/i> at Mus\u00e9e de la Gasp\u00e9sie, while rue de la Reine in the same town welcomes photographs from the city\u2019s Festival Musique du Bout du Monde to mark the festival\u2019s 10th anniversary. Finally, Murdochville<\/b> hosts a work from the project by Louis Couturier <\/b>and Jacky\u00a0Georges Lafargue<\/b><\/a> about the town.<\/p>\n

Rocher-Perc\u00e9<\/b> <\/b>\/\/ Perc\u00e9<\/b> hosts, near the dock and on the promenade along the sea, The Gasp\u00e9, Wild, with Your Feet in the Water<\/i>\u2026 by Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric\u00a0Merlet<\/b><\/a> (Mortagne-sur-S\u00e8vre, France) and Cross-Perspectives <\/i>by Gasp\u00e9 native Guillaume D. Cyr<\/b><\/a> (Quebec City, Qu\u00e9bec), both the result of the exchange program called Gasp\u00e9sie-Vend\u00e9e<\/a> Cross-Perspectives. Chandler<\/b> offers Memory (Woman Scenario) <\/i>by Patrick Dionne<\/b> and Miki\u00a0Gingras<\/b><\/a> (Montreal, Qu\u00e9bec), on the Souvenir park road and the Circuit des b\u00e2tisseurs footbridge.<\/b><\/p>\n

Bonaventure<\/b> <\/b>\/\/ In Pasp\u00e9biac<\/b>, at the Banc-de-P\u00eache-de-Pasp\u00e9biac historical site, <\/b>Beatrix\u00a0von\u00a0Conta<\/b><\/a> (Peyrins, France) exhibits The\u00a0Great Divide<\/i>. In Bonaventure<\/b>, near the marina, Evgenia Arbugaeva<\/b><\/a> (Iakoutsk, Russia) presents her series Tiksi<\/i>. A work by Louis Couturier<\/b> and Jacky\u00a0Georges Lafargue<\/b><\/a> about Murdochville is also on exhibit close to the Mus\u00e9e acadien du Qu\u00e9bec in Bonaventure. In New Richmond<\/b>, <\/b>the Gaspesian British Heritage Village hosts Devonians<\/i> by Jocelyne\u00a0Alloucherie<\/b><\/a> (Montreal, Qu\u00e9bec), and the Pointe-Taylor park presents Depressive Landscapes<\/i> by Armando Ribeiro<\/b><\/a> <\/b>(London, U.K.).<\/b><\/p>\n

Avignon<\/b> <\/b>\/\/ <\/b>In Maria<\/b>, at the Vieux-Quai park, Suzanne Opton<\/b><\/a> (New York City) exhibits Soldier<\/i> and Soldier+Citizen<\/i>.
\nCarleton-sur-Mer\u00a0<\/b>(Carleton sector) hosts the installations 0:00 GMT Intersection<\/i> by the collective Tendance\u00a0Floue<\/b><\/a> (Montreuil, France) at the Centre\u00a0d\u2019artistes Vaste et Vague, and also Archipelago<\/i> by Serge Cl\u00e9ment<\/b><\/a> (Montreal, Qu\u00e9bec) at the municipal beach. In the Saint-Omer sector, at the tidal lagoon rest stop, Isabelle Hayeur<\/b><\/a> (Rawdon, Qu\u00e9bec) exhibits Model Homes<\/i>. At Nouvelle<\/b>, on the Little School site, Yves\u00a0Gonthier<\/b><\/a> <\/b>(Maria, the Gasp\u00e9) presents Playing with Reality<\/i>. In Matap\u00e9dia<\/b>, outside the Saint-Laurent-de-Matap\u00e9dia church, photographs by Jean-Fran\u00e7ois\u00a0Lamoureux <\/b>and Mathilde Fournier-H\u00e9bert<\/b><\/a> (Montreal, Qu\u00e9bec) are on display. Also, the results of their residency in the area this summer is presented inside the church.<\/b><\/p>\n

A reminder that Rencontres internationales de la photographie en Gasp\u00e9sie is an invitation to meet these artists in a region where the photograph and the landscape come together around an artistic project.<\/p>\n
