[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The Photographer Tour, presented as part of the 5th edition of Rencontres internationales de la photographie en Gasp\u00e9sie, will run from August 15 to 19 in different municipalities on the peninsula.<\/p>\n
At the heart of Rencontres, the Photographer Tour<\/b><\/a> is a one-of-a-kind event that brings together visitors, photographers and the local population on the Gasp\u00e9 territory. It offers public get-togethers on the subject of creation in the form of photo projections, lecture-discussions and roundtable discussions. Each day of the Tour will be an opportunity to meet artists at their exhibit sites in the presence of Rencontres personnel. The choice to act on five consecutive days ensures the attendance of all the guest artists on the Gasp\u00e9 territory.<\/p>\n AVIGNON <\/b>\/\/ <\/b>The Tour will begin on Friday, August 15, at 4:30 p.m. at Parc du Vieux-Quai in Maria with a visit of the exhibits Pastoral Monuments<\/i> and Inside the View<\/i> by Helen Sear<\/b> <\/a>(Raglan, Wales, U.K.) and a get-together with the artist. At 6:00\u00a0p.m., the public will be invited to the Carleton-sur-Mer municipal beach (Carleton sector) to visit The Sensor<\/i> by Bertrand Carri\u00e8re<\/b><\/a> (Longueuil, Qu\u00e9bec) and to meet the artist. Afterwards, at 6:45 p.m., the official Photographer Tour launch evening <\/b>will be taking place at the Vaste et Vague artist center in Carleton. On this occasion there will be a visit of the exhibit Ice<\/i> by Flora<\/b><\/a> (Paris, France), the result of a residency in the Gasp\u00e9 in the winter of 2013, with the artist in attendance. Finally, towards 9:00 p.m. (after dark), the public will be invited to return to the Carleton beach, this time for a projection of the project \u201cA Bridge over the Atlantic<\/b>\u201d<\/span><\/b><\/a> and a get-together with the participating artists from Qu\u00e9bec and France, as well as a visit of the video installation Volatile Slide and Other Disorders<\/i> by Maryse\u00a0Goudreau<\/b><\/a> (Miguasha, the Gasp\u00e9) in the company of the artist.<\/p>\n On Saturday, August 16, at 10 a.m., the public will be able to attend, at the Vaste et Vague artist center, the roundtable discussion \u201cArtwork acquisition: the market for photography,\u201d hosted by Alexis Desgagn\u00e9s (exhibition curator, artist and researcher). Guest panelists will be: St\u00e9phane Aquin (curator, Montreal Museum of Fine Arts), Jo-Ann Kane (curator, National Bank art collection), Joyce Yahouda (director, Galerie Joyce Yahouda, Montreal), Bertrand Carri\u00e8re (artist) and Maryse Goudreau (artist). The roundtable will be followed at 12:30 p.m. by a visit of the exhibit Changing the World<\/i> by Gilbert Garcin<\/b><\/a> (Marseille, France) at Saint-Joseph school.<\/p>\n HAUTE-GASP\u00c9SIE <\/b>\/\/ <\/b>The Tour will continue on the north coast of the Gasp\u00e9 late in the day on Saturday. At 5:15 p.m. there will be a visit of Micronations<\/i> by L\u00e9o Delafontaine<\/b><\/a> (Paris, France) at the municipal rest stop in Cap-Chat, followed by a visit of the exhibits in Marsoui: Tiksi<\/i> by Evgenia Arbugaeva<\/b><\/a> (Yakutsk, Russia) at Parc A.-Couturier and Heliotropes #7. Northbound <\/i>by Laurent Villeret<\/b><\/a> (Paris, France) at the Couturier building. At &:00 p.m., a get-together with the two French artists and a projection of their work is scheduled at Parc A.-Couturier (or at the recreation center in case of rain).<\/p>\n C\u00d4TE-DE-GASP\u00c9 <\/b>\/\/ <\/b>On Sunday, August 17, at 11:00 a.m. there will be a visit of the exhibit 132<\/i> by the collective Kahem<\/b><\/a>, made up of Qu\u00e9bec photographers Charles-Fr\u00e9d\u00e9rick\u00a0Ouellet<\/b>, Christian\u00a0Lamontagne<\/b>, Nicolas\u00a0Levesque<\/b> and Yoanis\u00a0Menge<\/b>, on the promenade towards the Galipeault covered bridge in Grande-Vall\u00e9e. At 5:00 p.m., at the Mus\u00e9e de la Gasp\u00e9sie in the town of Gasp\u00e9, the roundtable \u201cPublications as a means of exposure\u201d will take place with panelists Alexis Desgagn\u00e9s (exhibition curator, artist and researcher), Serge Allaire (exhibition curator, researcher and autor), Rozenn Qu\u00e9r\u00e9 (artist) and Bertrand Carri\u00e8re (artist). In the same place, at 7:30 p.m., there will be a get-together with as well as a projection of the work by both Yoanis Menge<\/b> (L\u2019\u00c9tang-du-Nord, Magdalen Islands) of the collective Kahem and Linda\u00a0Rutenberg<\/b><\/a> (Montreal, Qu\u00e9bec), who is exhibiting The Gasp\u00e9 Peninsula: Land on the Edge of Time <\/i>at the Museum.<\/p>\n ROCHER-PERC\u00c9 <\/b>\/\/ <\/b>On Monday, August 18, at 3:00 p.m. the Tour continues in Perc\u00e9 with a get-together with artists Patrick\u00a0Dionne<\/b> and Miki\u00a0Gingras<\/b><\/a> (Montreal, Qu\u00e9bec) near the dock and on the promenade along the sea, in the presence of the residents of Perc\u00e9 who took part in their project Story Gatherers,<\/i> which resulted from a creation residency in the spring and summer of 2014. A visit of the exhibit Eyes on the Collection Loto-Qu\u00e9bec<\/i><\/b><\/a>, showing 35\u00a0years of Qu\u00e9bec creation through the works of 23\u00a0photographers<\/b>, is also scheduled at the same location.<\/p>\n BONAVENTURE<\/b> \/\/ On Tuesday, August 19, at 3:00 p.m. the public is invited to Chandler, on the Parc du Souvenir road and the Circuit des b\u00e2tisseurs bridge, for a visit of the exhibit The Girl Who Sees the Verses <\/i>by Rina\u00a0Vukobratovic<\/b><\/a> (Novi Sad, Serbia). That will be followed, at 6:00 p.m., by a visit of the exhibit Possible and Imaginary Lives <\/i>by Yasmine Eid-Sabbagh <\/b>and Rozenn Qu\u00e9r\u00e9<\/b><\/a> (Brussels, Belgium) at the LeBoutillier & Brothers warehouse on the Banc-de-P\u00eache-de-Pasp\u00e9biac historical site in Pasp\u00e9biac and by a projection of the work of these artists. Rozenn Qu\u00e9r\u00e9<\/b> will be on hand.
